M any words have lost their meanings in our society.  The real concept of education is that  it brings you closer to knowledge.  It will make one accustomed to knowledge.  Education will satisfy his  knowledge need.  It will also satisfy his need of knowing. This is education.  But our contemporary education is not doing any such thing.  Whoever has more degrees does not mean  he has more knowledge or he loves knowledge. There is no such thing. And secondly, what is the effect of knowledge?  Knowledge increases your ability to believe in something.  and makes it stronger.  Knowledge is what makes you  able to believe and be certain. As a result of knowledge  you acquire additional prerequisites of belief.  Knowledge makes your belief stronger. Th e question I have received is that these days  childre n do not help their parents in household chores. What should we do in this case?  If your child has heard you say to him that you don't do anything  "You don't do any work"  It will become hard for him to do any kind of work.  But if your child does not do a lot of things,  but does a few things around the house.  And you acknowledge him that Subhan Allah,  Alhamdulillah you have done this work.  And you are happy with the little bit he has done.   One of the greatest worries for every one of us should be that what I have understood and agreed on that this is the right action, this is the right path, this is how I should live my life. Allah has blessed me with clarity at a certain level, we can not say we have clarity over every matter but on whatever level, Allah has blessed us with clarity,  we need more clarity than this but on whatever level we stand, we should have a worry and concern that whatever I have understood;  why am I not able to practice them and am unable to internalise and set my life according to it; there is a gap. there should be continuous worry and distress because of this gap.  May Allah keep this worry and distress alive; this worry is a blessing.  Now, how will we be saved and forgiven? Many people in my life,  since I have provided counseling to thousands of men, women  and children, though I don't counsel very young children  but children of fourteen, fifteen or sixteen years of age. So what happens is that they experienced something painful in their lives.  Something very painful  And they tell me, Sir, this and this and that happened with me  Then I ask them, "what is your age now?"  Suppose they tell me twenty-seven years.  Then I ask them to calculate how many  days or hours it lasted, whatever happened.  Calculate everything. And I even ask them to exaggerate  in their calculation. And when they calculate  we translate that into days  and then into years and come to know  that out of twenty-seven years of life, perhaps only one year was a bad one.  Even one year is a lot.  For twenty-six years of your life, nothing bad happened.  Then I ask him  how many people in all mistreated you?
