4 Innovative Smart Home Gadgets To Know About In 2022
This year, there were several products that were more than eye-catching. The best of them was CES 2020 which gave us a glimpse into what technology was all around in homes, with some of it being revolutionary.
With so many innovation and tech-related product announcements, this year will bring with it plenty of more exciting products and services.
It is time to start looking ahead and making some serious anticipation for 2021’s biggest tech show.
With such an unprecedented number of new things to look forward to on June 28 and 29, we have compiled a list of those most anticipated.
We’ve also chosen a few of the most notable from CES 2021 here, along with their specs and price estimates. Some will be released in May, others in July and some in October. Let’s dive right in!
1) Apple's AirPod
The “AirPods” are two compact devices that feature the same design but with different microphones and charging coils.
They each have a range of 400 meters (130 dB) with one being priced at $150; while the other costs as much as $200.
Users can connect using either Bluetooth or NFC, and use both when they want to hear music and say short phrases in the voice recognition voice assistant. Both models come paired with Siri, Apple's virtual personal assistant.
Apple says that its AirPods have an impressive battery life; however, if you do not care about battery life, AirPods are still very powerful.
You can get up to 40 hours of battery on them and they will give about 6 hours of use. Although, like any true wireless speaker, not everything can be said on these features.
Battery Life: 7 Hours | Charging Time: 4 Hours
Price: $169 for Apple Earbuds
2) ZF Friedrichshafen's latest smart-home device: "Vesta"
Although ZF has been working on something similar since 2014, Vesta (named after German word meaning heart), never saw the light of day. That changed the first of August when it announced that it would launch with major improvements, which included better user interfaces, improved battery options and much lower prices. While a couple of key changes like the introduction of built-in Google Assistant and Nest Audio enabled smartphones to the platform, ZF believes that Vesta is the pinnacle smart-home device.
This year's CES, Vesta is now listed as coming in three color variants: black/blue, white and blue/orange, costing just $130.
Compared to the previous version, this model offers significant improvements, including higher resolution displays, larger audio units, support for Amazon Alexa, Apple's HomeKit and integration with third party apps.
Even though ZF does not disclose details about the company behind the brand or other information, it's safe to assume ZF is well known.
Battery life and other enhancements: Up to 15 Minutes | Display Resolution: 8.0-inch touchscreen display with 20000x1200 pixels resolution
Price: $150.95
3) KUWAITI's JARQR Smart Soundbar
JARQR's soundbar launched last year. As a result, when CES came around again, fans had no choice but to see a big improvement compared to what they got before.
Yes, thanks to Qualcomm's newly unveiled Snapdragon 7000 processor and the inclusion of Apple's M1 chip, you can expect the largest improvement over its predecessor.
Thanks to additional processing power, JARQR is able to capture even the finest sounds produced by modern production equipment. If you have a high-end production system, like top studios or large productions, then JARQR is the ideal partner for your project.
Also, JARQR allows users to enjoy music wherever their screen goes. Whether it is while moving around the house, sitting comfortably on their bed at night, watching movies or streaming a video game, JARQR enables every part of our lives.
A feature called Chromecast-enabled, JARQR is truly the ultimate tool for everyone.
Battery life performance is similarly excellent as Vesta. An extra 15 minutes means you won't need to plug the unit back in, which should save some money.
But with the addition of 11 premium tracks and access to exclusive recordings of renowned artists like Rihanna and Sir Elton John, JARQR provides a tremendous value proposition to audiophiles and musicians alike. Just make sure you've saved your funds in advance to grab yours!
4) LG's NEXUS G8 and LG's OLED TV 4K display
The next big thing in LG's lineup was announced earlier this month when the company unveiled its new TVs.
As of today, LG has confirmed the release date for both LG's OLED TVs powered by the upcoming Apple M1 processor and LG's tablet-laptop hybrid device powered by Intel's Xeon Scalable Processor.
These devices include OLED TVs from LG's newest generation and tablets that ship between September and November 2020.
However, the devices were only shown at CES 2021, prompting buyers to wait further. Until December, LG confirmed the release dates for TVs and tablets, which should allow investors to get excited.
